Laindon School Uniform Bank FAQs

1. Have you got a *** in a size *** in stock ?

Tbh, we just don't know !! We unable to maintain an inventory, our stock changes so quickly each session, plus we are constantly accepting new donations.

We only have a limited time each week get things done, so our priority is to get donation's out of the tables, not to log what we have.

2. How much can I take?

You can take as much as you need for your own family's personal use.

If you are a social worker / charity/ Nursery/ etc.. collecting items on behalf of others, please let us know either at the door or even better pop us a quick message in advance.

Uniform collected from us must not be sold on. You will be permanently banned from the project if found to be doing so.

We encourage families to re-donate items if still in good condition so others can benefit even more - sharing is caring 😉😘

3. What schools do you cover?
All primary and secondary schools in Laindon, Langdon Hills, Basildon and Billericay.
Residents of Pitsea and Vange - did you know you have your own uniform bank ?? You are welcome to attend as we have lots of generic items but we won't have logo items from your area.
4. Do you always have logo items in stock, all the time?
We can never guarantee that we will have items in stock for every school ALL THE TIME, BUT we do always have plenty of generic items such as trouser, skirts, shirts etc it's always worth popping along to have a look around.

11. Who runs the project?
We are simply a group of local individuals that want to help others , we are all volunteers. Manor Mission Church kindly provide us the venue, storage and flexibility to do this for our community .
12. Why do you not open every Saturday, and only open 10am-12pm ?
As we are all volunteers, we all have jobs/ families and other commitments.
It takes us an hour to set up and then another hour to close after every session !!
During the week we have additional work of answering emails, transporting stock , planning rotas and so on... there's also alot that goes on behind the scenes that has to fit in to our everyday lives !!
